I’m Mackenzie,

your average midwestern mom friend.

I intimately understand the rollercoaster of emotions that come with motherhood—exhaustion, exhilaration, and immeasurable rewards.

I’ve been working in obstetrics for over 10 years, helping families welcome their newest additions—mostly in the cold, cheesy state of Wisconsin, with a short stint in Texas. I’m also a mom of three, including two boys and a baby girl, so I know firsthand how overwhelming pregnancy, birth, and all the available options can feel. I’ve personally experienced an epidural birth (first), a fast unmedicated water birth (second), and an induction for gestational diabetes using nitrous oxide (third).

I wholeheartedly believe in shedding light on every facet of parenthood—proudly wearing my stretch marks, messy mom bun, and spit-up-stained shirt, all while sipping my cold (microwaved for the third time) coffee.

My mission is to be your nurse BFF, candidly revealing the real world of pregnancy, birth, and parenthood—the highs, the lows, and everything in between. I’m committed to empowering and educating new parents so you can navigate this journey feeling confident, prepared, and supported.
